Dr Noeline Wright and Dr Dianne Forbes are both teacher educators and educational researchers at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. York has an excellent relationship with home-coverstaff from Waikato and we are currently running a distance learning peer exchange scheme with tutors and programme leaders from University of York and University of Waikato.

Drs Wright and Forbes are also guest editing a special issue of E-Learning and Digital Media early next year, which focuses on the use of Twitter in Education and the call for papers is now open. The deadline for submissions is 26th February 2016, so there is plenty of time for those who may be interested.

The scope for topics to discuss in this special issue are very wide and could be from educators from all sectors who are using Twitter in a number of ways, such as:
